First, I don't think you leave the tea-bag in for that long.

Second, there's a thing called ""set and setting"" which suggests that people act how they think the drug will make them act.

Tea is also more of a diuretic than coffee.

I always need a cup of tea when I check in here. sigh. Does anybody know what this stuff is, that my S.O. brought back from Lithuania? It's in a paper and cellophane bag that reads ""Gurman's,"" it's mostly black tea, and it has bits of dried fruit and mysterious botanical bits. I can identify marigold and something that might be rose.

The word is, it smelled nice in the shop and she can't actually speak Lithuanian, so it's ""pointing at the bin and nodding"" tea until I get better info."

Metal is a better conductor of heat than water. Leaving the spoon in will allow the heat to escape the cup through the spoon. The rate depends upon the size and substance of the spoon.

Stirring the tea will also cause the tea to cool. The tea will at first increase in temperature as the molecules gain temperature in movement. However, more of the tea will be exposed to the air, causing the tea to release more heat than is generated by the stirring.

I dranks some South African tea yesterday, called Red Bark Tea (its called something else in Afrikaans, which I forget). Caffeine free, nice taste. Much recommended.
