I found an odd little book today, while I was going through some of my late grandparent's old things.
It's called the 'Mazawattee Gazetteer' and it's a small red book. The edges of the pages have been dyed red and they have rounded corners.
I assumed it was a little guidebook to somewhere, but in fact, it's a kind of geographical dictionary; instead of word definitions it gives brief descriptions of important places from around the world.
And Mazawattee isn't a country at all. It's a brand of Tea. The advertisement at the front of the book describes it as:
""Economical in use, containing those gentle stimulating influences so much more appreciated by those who have mental work to do.
Refreshing without being harmful.""
It was published in 1929, So I expect that it originally belonged to my great grandparents.
You used to get really cool things in packets of tea.
