"The following is an account as to why someone I know drinks tea. All names and places have been changes to protect the innocent.

There was a meeting at Jayson's house one night. This was a meeting just like any other that the neighborhood has, except that the city councillor would be attending. Jayson decided that since the meeting was taking place at 7:30, well after 5:00 dinner time, only coffee and tea would be served. Jayson came home to find that his roomate, the coffee drinker of the house, had taken the coffee maker with him to NYC. Asked why, Carl said that he didn't like those little two cup makers the hotels have.

So, Jayson went next door to borrow Matt's coffee maker. Matt is also a coffee drinker and has this huge industrial 12 cup maker that Jayson and Carl got him for Christmas. Jayson brought back the mega coffee maker and set it up at the bar so that all the people would have an easy time getting the coffee.

He then looked for cups. After searching through all the cabinets, Jayson found 7 cups that could be used for coffee. Next Jayson needed the actual coffee grounds. He found this little bag of decaf grounds, but no regular. Janice, on the phone with Jayson, told him to just use the decaf as no one would notice. Jayson also set up the sugar cannister and then went to the bodega for some milk.

Jayson then sat down to watch a little of Buffy. it was season 6 finale with Dark Willow with the nasty veins and such. Right after Anya let Willow out of stasis the doorbell rang. It was the neighbor Jessica.

Jessica's husband had decided to cater the meeting for some unknown reason, and afterwards leave all the food for Jayson. What was he to do!? Jayson decided to start to brew the coffee.

This being his first time brewing coffee in a home environment he was slightly uneasy. He figured the numbers on the side of the pot represented how much water to put in for the alloted number of cups. Jayson filled the pot up to the number 12. He then put the grounds up top. Jayson then poured the water right into where the grounds were. He didn't see another place for the water. Only about three of the 12 cups fit. Panic started to set in when discolord water began coming out of the maker. Not knowing what to do and water still drippin, Jayson then poured the rest of the water down the drain. He proceeded to take the lid off of the pot, not seeing any hole that the water could flow into. At about this time Jayson noticed an on/off switch. He thought maybe this would help. It didn't. The switch turned on the heating plate, which was now wet from the dripping water. Smoke started billowing on fromthe coffee maker. Jessica was beginning to laugh.

This is when Jessica's son, Darryl, brought in an airpot of coffee. Upon seeing this miracle, Jayson quickly shut off the maker and walked away.

Jayson proceeded into the kitchen where he turned on the stove to heat up some water for his tea, just an Earl Grey.

This is ""my friends"" story of why ""he"" is a tea drinker."
