Sometimes I sit here and actually envy you guys. Belive it or not, i used to be a conservative Reagan Republican. And then I turned 18 and had to face the REAL world all by myself. Such self-righteous, trusting authoritarian worldviews make me nostalgic for my childhood where mommy and daddys house and comfort shielded me from reality.

I think a lot of blacks and latinos may beg to differ with your cheery trusting opinions of law enforcment. I myself can clearly remeber being made to come out of a car with my hands up and made to lie on the sidewalk as so the officer can tell me I was exceeding the speed limit by 3 mph. I'm sure you can relate. [yuh huh]

You're accusing me of being out of touch with reality? [yuh huh] I'm not the one spouting Democrap (tm) propaganda in every thread on this board! And I'm well aware of the difficulties facing blacks and Latinos. I have many in my own family. (Who's making the hasty judgments now? [no no no] ) I'm not trying to dismiss police brutality in those instances. I'm just saying that when it comes to the actual issue at hand (Yes, my friends, there's an actual ISSUE here!), that's a total non sequitur. And since you went OT first, I figure it's a good time to say I'd be a lot more willing to trust an administration with a 'police' mentality than one on the leash of every liberal political-action group with an axe to grind and an agenda to push through.

You're a good guy, whomod, it's just hard to make sense of you sometimes.
