I love how everyone who doesn't agree with the war is a democrat supporting liberal spewing mindless propaganda.
Heh.

I don't know why peope can't bring themselves to even question the government if it's their side of the political spectrum in power. It's what ultimately discredits their arguments for me since they don't seem to be considering the other side, just following blindly.

In the UK Tony is in a world of shit as more stuff comes out. He was told by the intelligence services taht Iraq wasn't much of a threat (they have been continuously bombed for the last decade remember) and that there were more dangerous countries. He chose to ignore that and follow dubya. In the process he lied and exagerrated. I don't know what arguments were used in the US but the big one here was WMD. We were told there was proof. There is none. Whether WMD's are found or not it is becoming clear that here never was any great evidence to prove their existence and that Tony lied.

Iraq may end off better off without Saddam (after the Afganistan mess I'm not going to assume anything, boy did we fuck them good. killed more innocent civilians than died on 911) but the people are losing faith fast in lying politicians (not known as a particularly noble breed before this).

I was once pro war on Iraq. I didn't really believe everything Tony said (never have trusted the Smiler) but the more it emerged we had been lied to , the more I realised this war was bullshit.

also, going back a bit, the UK does not use the Euro (I don't think it would be a good idea anyway, but the main reason we aren't in is British bigotry towards Europe. For the best explanation of this watch the 80's sitcom "Yes Minister"), so it is not doing anything to damage it's own economy. Spain is in, not sure about Italy.
