It has reported that domestic flights have decided upon various security measures, such as banning knives in luggage, locking unused doors etc. Though to any european countries the thought would be "they didn't do this before?"
However what is especially worrying is that incoming international flights are not permitted. Why? It suggests a worrying 'head in the sand' isolationist approach by the beaurocrats who decided upon this course of action. Perhaps the US news makes things a little clearer, but surely the FAA and airlines need to seriously beef up security rather than worrying about the already (relatively) secure international flights.
Hopefully this is a very short term deal and internal airport security will become top a higher priority than worrying about other countries.
