as one of the people that would have been kablooeyed... id still say im glad they didnt say anything.
saying something really would not have accomplished anything, other than mass chaos and panic.
every evacuation path would have been clogged beyond belief (and with good reason).
and, then, only to find out within hours that the leads are false? ... that would make all of the panic and jitters unnecessary.
id say it was a good move.
