I always wanted to be a flute player in a major symphony orchestra. For real it was my HUGE dream in high school. I trained for tryouts two years and auditioned to be accepted into the music school at UNT. Sad part is, once I got there I realized the only way into a flute prof's studio is if youve trained with them since high school (I'll always curse myself for not doing that) or a hugely like $10,000-30,000 flute which had be a Brannen, Haynes, or a Powell. Mine was a Pearl flute which is mediocre compared to all those. Anyways they stuck me with a first year grad student who had never taught flute lessons before. So I changed majors to math and c.s.! I still play but I'll always miss that dream!

And I did want to be taller too just cuz I'm 5'2"!
