I was scared of the drains in a pool. Even if they were 10ft below me, I would swim around the area. I always thought that a man was gonna grab me, pull me down and drown me. This stemmed from a fear of water created by my swim teacher when I was about 4

There was an episode of Ducktales which was basically them retelling the Odessy. For some reason, the singing siren monster they had appeared in my nightmares from age five until I was in about the sixth grade. Something about that voice just stuck in my head.
