this is above and beyond the herd/mob mentality idea, tho.
it wasnt stated as an acquired trait, but rather, a physiological one that you're born with (and can't be rid of).
whether or not thats an actual distinction is the question -- but the show (and other reports) have made the claim that its a real deal.
