The "legal implications" of his crime seem incredibly arbitrary given the fact that *harboring* people ( or giving old freinds a hand) is beyond commonplace be it in L.A. with mexicans, in Boston with the Irish or in San Francisco with the Chineese and beyond.
It seems it has more to do with the fact that he is a young Muslim male post 9/11 than with anything else, icluding any "felonies".
