Yes , but partisanship demonstrates and exemplifies an unwillingness to listen to another's arguement in most cases. It's not healthy because talking to deaf ears is ultimately pointless. Look at a show like Hannity and Colmes...if that isn't a pointless waste of ashow I've never seen one. they disagree, they will always disagree, and they will be partisan 90% of the time except on an issue that has yet to become a split issue.
Granted, this has never kept me from speaking my mind to partisans. I just lose my patience more easily the older I get.
And the Fanboy comparison is right on. Although as G-Man said certain things are ultimately more important than others. The base emotion and reactionism that causes partisinship is any area is the same though.
