Back to my half-arsed reviews. Groovy.

Keep in mind that Raw jumped channels here and now I don't get it until Friday.

First thought (these aren't in order)... they are so fucking close to the Jericho face turn. They've teased it before then pulled the rug out, but I think it could really work. Listen to the cheers he got when he ran out to save Trish. Man, I almost cried near the end when she came to his dressing room seconds after he'd left.

While on this topic... Mark Henry matches=boring, Jericho matches=rockitude. Interesting to see how this one turns out.

Turned out it was actually a pretty damn good match. I just about jumped out of my seat when Jericho finally locked in the Walls after playing underdog for most of the match. I felt personally cheated when the knocked out ref missed it and Jericho was screwed out of the win. It's rare for a match to get such an emotional response out of me.
Watching Jericho know he was outmuscled and desperately trying to use his speed and agility against Henry was great. I realised that one of the things I like about Y2J matches is that they never look one-sided. He always makes it seem as if either guy could legitimately win.

What else happened? Um... Triple H and Michaels talked for ages. Whatever. Were it not for the Coach, that bit would have been a complete and total waste of my time, as opposed to almost a complete and total waste of my time. The Coach rocks my world. Put him on the commentary team. His guest commentary at the start was fantastic. "Somebody turn up my mic! Matt couldn't hear me!"

Goldberg whooped Matt Hardy. It's interesting to see him accepted as a face now after the apathetic reception he received when he first came to WWE.

You know what's funny? Evolution would be more entertaining if they were monkeys. Think about that one for a moment.

I wish Scott Steiner would fall off something and break his neck. Or if he doesn't want to go through the pain of a broken neck... just fucking die.

Booker T got hisself whupped by Kane. But I see the start of an entertaining feud. Put them in a "loser has to find himself a better fucking gimmick or retire, and the winner has to be Booker T" style match. I like Booker. Kane is a fat man who can't act. He can't even act angry, and that's all he does.

What else happened...? Um... lessee here... Austin chased some people around on a 4 wheeler. That was kind of funny.

Orton versus RVD was actually quite a good match. Orton is starting to impress. This could be a solid IC title angle, if done well. They're both talented in the ring, and are capable of some kickass matches together.

Coupla things!
This was the old "Lionheart" Jericho I've been talking about, the one that tries to overcome heavy odds, not the whiney craybaby bitch they made him as a heel!

The Booker T vs Kane match was a fucking joke, never thought I'd say this but most of the blame lies at Bookers feet,he just looked so sloppy & apparently he did the same in a house show match as well!

Sacrificing Matt to Goldturd was just pathetic!

Must admit Orton is getting better, but just for the record he suffered an injury in that match!

I actually wanted to see Godberg vs. Stiener, that night. I was in the mood for a match like that. Then they pulled the ussual shit about: "I want you when you're fresh!" Come on! Everyone wanted that match right then! I don't want to see it tomorrow night. It had a chance to entertain me last week. Now, I don't care. When a guy comes on, and the crowd goes nuts for him, and he has a five second match where he rips apart somone, and then he wants to take on someone else, and the crowd goes nuts b/c they think he will...YOU DON'T PUSH IT OFF! They could have done something, messed up somebody's match, or shortened something, but SOMETHING, to make room for that match.

Exactly. It's not something to look forward to. It's a crap match. But, after Goldberg beat the crap out of Matt, I was in the mood, at that time, to see him beat the crap out of Steiner. I just don't understand why they didn't play on that. Even the fans wanted to see that match right then.

its so sad to remember steiner when he was good(pre-steroids) and pulling off moves he can no longer do, and probably can't remember.

Once upon a time the Steiner brothers were among my fave wrestlers.
I used to love to watch WCW during the early 90s & watching a guy as big as Scott pull off some amazing moves for a guy his size was a sight to behold.
Big Poppa Pump is not the man I used to be a fan of!

Presactly! This is Jericho at his best.
This is the first time in ages he's picked up a legitimate win. Well, sort of. The match went to Henry, but they showed us he was capable of doing this stuff properly.

And his face turn (if it happens. Hypothetically.) will have a reason. He'll become nicer because he loves Trish. And it's happening over time. It's not just a snap decision at the drop of a hat to completely change character.

Same thing as when they turned him heel a couple of years ago, or whenever the hell it was. It started as a rivalry between him and the Rock (arguably the two most popular guys in the Fed at the time), and his jealousy of the Rock pushed him over the edge. Motivation. Character development. Story.

Yeah, okay, you may be right there... sad, because Booker at his best is one of the best guys in the WWE. When he's at the top of his game, he has the crowd completely in the palm of his hand.

Matt deserves better. Agreed.

Damn, people keep agreeing with me.......I must be ill!

But seriously, back to Jericho, apparently WWE has been putting Chris against Henry in house shows.
The reason they have been doing this is to help Henry improve his game as the belief in WWE right now is nobody can make a bad wrestler look good better than Jericho!
We have seen Henry in a lot of matches recently with the likes of Booker & the matches have looked pretty poor, but credit where credit is due,the Henrny/Jericho match looked damn good,Chris made Henry look better than he really is!

Nice to see that WWE does have some belief in Y2J (its also rumoured that he and Benoit will get bigger pushes in the near future).

Do you think Benoit will be coming over as a heel or a face?

Well by all indications Benoit will remain a face!
Apparently HBK put a stop to Cena moving to Raw cause he felt his modern face style would overshadow his and thats not good as HBK is sposed to be the top Raw baby face!
HBK felt having Benoit as a face on Raw would not overshadow him,so it would be better.
HHH also feels Benoit would make a good opponent for Orton & Batista who are both heels!

OK. Then I am guessing we will see an aliance of HBK, Y2J, and Benoit to counter Evolution. That could get entertaining, and it could help push both Orton and Bautista. But Orton still needs some work on his mic skills. Y2J needs to start interupting with the old: "Would you please. SHUT. THE HELL. UP!"

There are no indications that the three would team up,but anythings possible!
Y2J & Benoit have history together as both rivals & partners.
HBK & Y2J have a history too as rivals, but as HBK is the guy Jericho modelled himself on,I bet he would love to team with him!

If Jericho turns face, his persona will be closer to HBK's than anything Cena could come up with. Interesting...

The fact that they had Jericho (practically) get a legitimate win over Henry speaks well of his chances at a good push.

And they're right, no one elevates a bad wrestler in a match like Y2J.

In all fairness to Jericho, though, I doubt even he could make Kevin Nash look good.

Nash, now that is one useless cry baby cunt!
Apparently NWA/TNA has asked him & Hall to reunite as The Outsiders but the one stumbling block is that Nash is asking for $7,500 a week!
Hall was paid that when he was appearing back in the early days of TNA when they were trying to establish themselves and needed big names, but they have seriously reduced paycheques since then!

If TNA had any sense, they'd steer well clear of that over paid, under worked, slow as fuck, fragile cunt!

I wouldn't say no one(Benoit and Angle certainly spring to mind first), especially since Jericho has had some shitty matches due to his own sloppiness. A PPV against Rhyno stands out, where Jericho fucked up two moonsault spots, one of them almost breaking his own neck.

Actually, I almost think that Jericho has a tendency to let himself get dragged down to the level of his opponent. It's when he's curtain jerking that he's at his worst. He seems to be at his best when he's getting pushed to the main event. I certainly can't think of any time he headlined a PPV and failed to deliver.

And that's terrible.

The reason he fucked up two moonsaults in that match was cause he actually gave himself concussion on the first moonsault.
If you watch the match again you'll see how off balance he was after that moonsault.........more power to him for continuing!

I do remember him having a particulary bad match against Jeff Hardy, but Jeff was just as off his game in that match as well!

Everyone has off days anyway, nobody can be 100% all the time!
