ya, most do die that way, mine did last spring. The vet told us the tumor growth we were seeing on her side was just a fat lump most old dogs get. They removed the lump and it returned 8 months later. We didn't figure out it was cancer til it had taken over her kidneys and she was throwing up blood and couldn't get off my bed.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there.
