That's right. I made sure not to specify anything too much since obviously several Vanguardians rely on pseudo-science for their powers/abilities.

Now, as far as the "sneaking in" thing goes, I think that Vanguard must at least make an attempt to blend in with the population of the Darkworld. If they blundered in there like the U.S. Army in Iraq, even the people they're going in to "liberate" will be up in arms against them, and all that will happen is that all the people of this world, the living and the dead -- though they be enemies to one another -- will be united against those they see as the "strange invaders" from the stars (or, more likely, as "demons" since this is a medieval world, and medieval peoples were VERY xenophobic).

Mason Templar's clothing already fits in with a medieval motif, but the rest of the team needs to disguise themselves a bit better, methinks. I would have had the team disguised as knights, since that's what in effect they are going to be on this world sword or no sword, but in the early stages it may actually be more profitable in the long run to go in disguised as traveling gypsy performers... At least until they've managed to learn what they need to learn about the evil wizard.

They don't know anything about this world other than what little Sam has told them, so the only intelligent thing to do is to arrive there and try to arouse as little suspicion as possible while they figure out their plans. It would be cool if we didn't worry about the time in this story so it could be shown that they are there for several weeks or even months planning their 'hero revolution.' Whatever time they arrive back in this world will be whatever time it is in the present.

Anyway, whatever the team does, Mason Templar's going to be laughing at and berating all of you.
