I've been talking with Euro on AIM today, and he's helped me see a few things clearly.
I have changed since I first started writing with the group (1999?). Some of it is natural growth. Some of it is life kicking me in the balls, and either adapting or dying. So, the reason I posed the question of staying or going is to suss out how the group feels.
Is my input in this New Universe relevant in the least? Or, is it time for me to pack my mind up, and move on? That's really the question that has to be asked.

Well, there's what I've been setting up. I did fudge things a bit and have Drake's healing powers return him to athletic level he used to have and not just fix the nerve damage. Basically, as Nightwatch, Drake posesses human peak physical abilities and accelerated healing. Sort of think a cross of Captain America and Wolverine's abilities (minus the shield and/or claws) with the personality you already know and you'll get it. Oh, and you can't leave Pro, you still haven't read my PM.

Dammit, NotWedge, I HAVE read your PM! ----> And, I promise to respond soon enough. Also, I have recently found the character of Drake to be extremely interesting and full of possibilities. I haven't read your latest post, yet, but, I'm hoping that we get to see Drake himself in some physical action soon. I would LOVE to write a Cap/Wolverine-mixed character in battle...

Gooz: I think you're the first one to recognise the Sir Justin connection. Was it the elephant-sized pigeon hawk that did it? It's true that Mason Templar is partially based on Sir Justin, though of course the personalities couldn't be more different. Thanks. I hope the character will prove to be a fun one. I needed a character with which I could just "let loose" with, and who had absolutely no responsibilities for leading the team or anything like that. Speaking of which...
CJ: Good job with Mason in your post. I'm glad everyone seems to "get" the character really well. In fact, I've had no problems at all with the various interpretations people have had of him, and that's saying a lot since I'm an admitted nitpicker. (Though if anyone calls me that, I'll punch your lights out.  )

About the position of spokeperson for Vanguard, I have read all that has been posted on the subject, and I think Chewy's suggestion is the best, to give the position to Tayden.
It would nicely explain why he step out from active member position to supporting role, plus, with his empatyc power, could really keep discussions from going awyre.
That doesn't mean I will not continue my subplot, just it will be somehow different from what most of you thinks.
