"What's spaceball 1?" asked Raptor, as Drake was weaving his sword in vain. "Never mind!" continued. His mind was trying to focus over the few notions he had from High School, about winds and atmosphere.
"Wind, air that moves from high to low pressure areas. It's the sun to power it. But we are in a closed tower in a dark cave... Air, made of seventy percent nitrogen, less than thirty of oxygen, traces of other gases..." As his mind was trying to find something useful, a big, invisible hand slapped him toward the internal, curved wall of the tower, very hard. Ed looses his senses. But what Drake saw, was nothing he could have expected. Euro was not there anymore. Instead, a tall man, tanned, with short curly black hairs, a short black bristly bear, a dirty white vest, was standing in his place. A brown bag, seemingly made with a calf stomach, was under his left arm.
"Demon, let me show you the gift of Aeulus, that the blue haired god gave to me, Odisseus, king of Ithaca!"
The man opened the sack. And instantly, a veritable tornado shook the whole of the tower. Everything began to twirl. Drake grabbed the raven, put it under is arm and rolled behind a corner in the corridor, shutting his eyes and trying to curl his body to resist to the fierce wind.
drake opened one eye just for a moment. The man that replaced Euro, Odisseus, or Ulysses, was standing in the middle of the passage, like being unaffected by the tornado, as the whole world was whirling in the storm. Then, all went silent, and calm.
Drake stood up, Nip still under his arm. The bird freed himself from the embrace, and fled over his master. euro was back, massaging his head.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Well, it seems now we have discovered how this planet affect you. Your past incarnations replaces you in battle. Actually." explained drake, still surprised by the happening.
"Who I was?"
"Ulysses. With the winds from Aeolus"
"cool. Now just hope I don't turn into Siegfrid when we face the dragon" said Euro.
The smile on the face of Drake died all of a sudden.
