Upon the back of the great dragon Psidon, Ed and Drake watched the ground pass by quickly below them.

"Even at this speed, it's beautiful..." Drake said, staring at the land below them. Trees passed by quickly, and rivers that carved out elaborate shapes in the ground.

"Yes," Ed said, nodding his head. He watched the land below with his keen avian vision, noticing details that Drake could not.

A particular sight suddenly caught his attention.

Several miles below them, there was a small village. It had a couple of dozen small stone huts, and it was situated near a stream. Nothing unremarkable about it.

But marching through the village, brutally beating any peasant brave or foolhardy enough to stand up to them, was a dozen red archers.

And at their back, a huge, disgusting grey creature.

"No..." Ed whispered.

"What?" Drake asked. Ed called his attention to the scene below.

"PSIDON! TAKE US DOWN! NOW!" Drake yelled.

"This could be happening all over the continent!" Ed yelled, leaping off the dragon's back and pleading with any who could hear them.

"The people in these villages need your help!" He yelled as loudly as he could, to as many of the dragons as would listen.

Psidon, Drake upon his back, dove for the village below. Ed noticed a few other dragons peel off from the pack and take flight in other directions. He hoped they were going where he thought they were.

Psidon tore towards the ground, the mountain troll in its sights. Drake held on for dear life, finding it hard to get a handhold.

As Psidon neared the troll, Drake leaped off and tackled a red archer to the stony ground.

The dragon's great claws tore into the troll's shoulders. The creature screamed, reached up with its huge arms and grabbed the dragon's legs, tearing it down out of the sky and slamming it into the ground.

Psidon whirled around and snapped at the troll's neck with his mighty jaws. The troll countered with a well aimed punch to the side of Psidon's head.

This, of course, just seemed to make the dragon angry.

"You really don't want to piss those things off," Drake said, ducking to dodge an arrow that flew above his head as he stuck out a leg and tripped up a red archer. He sprung up and grabbed another around the neck, spinning him around with all the force Drake could muster and pushing him into another archer, sending them both tumbling to the ground.
