Priest and Ozzy charged into the battle side by side, on their undead horses. They watched Grimm thunder past them and disappear into the fray, his axe demolishing any red soldier who dared get near him and his horse.

Around them, the forces of the animated dead spilled across the field.

Priest noticed that the knights of Sir Justin were herded together by the red soldiers, cutting off their retreat. Almost the same box formation that had been their offensive strategy at the start of the battle was now their trap.

This was, of course, before thousands of zombies showed up. All under the command of Grimm.

Grimm, who had one goal; breach the castle walls and destroy Godbolt.

The zombies who were mounted on horseback reached the battle first, led by Grimm himself. They clashed with the red soldiers, who quickly dispersed from the tight formation they had previously held.

Priest held out an arm and gestured for Ozzy to head to the west side of the field. Ozzy nodded and galloped off.

Priest himself headed eastwards, taking care to avoid the giant and his dog who were fighting the living statue.

Priest was somewhat shocked to realise that the sight of the battle between the two titans didn't surprise him at all. He'd spent too much time in magic alternate dimensions.

A red soldier charged at Grimm, sword raised and face twisted into a scowl. Priest raised his gun and fired.

Nothing happened.

Priest pulled the trigger again. He was greeted with the same inaction as with his first attempt.

"Fuck..." he whispered. Out of juice.

He threw the gun at the man, knocking him unconscious with a well aimed strike to the head.

Priest wasn't out of the fight, though. He still had a lot of energy stored up. Super strength, however, worked better in close quarters combat.

He dove off his horse, tackling a nearby red soldier to the ground. He picked up the man he'd tackled and threw him hard to the left, striking another red soldier in the midsection and sending them both spilling into the mud.

Priest span around to his left and grabbed another man around the throat, breaking his neck and then wielding the man like a club against another nearby opponent.

On the other side of the battlefield, Ozzy and his horse and charged directly into a tightly knit line of red soldiers.

He swung his borrowed sword and found a red soldier's neck. Another swing slashed a man in the shoulder and sent him howling to the ground.

Arrows bounced ineffectually off Ozzy's silver back as he did the rounds of the battlefield, when something in the air caught his attention.

He looked up and noticed something dropping. He spurred his horse onwards and galloped towards it, hoping to catch it in time.
