I'd say talking about lesbians might be more offensive, but you're right - it's not done in prime time, and kids probably aren't listening to Howard (hell, they probably don't even watch the Golden Globes).
Not that I care one way or another. "Fuck" and lesbians don't offend me (especially when in conjunction with each other).
