Funny, I always had the habit of blaming myself for my troubles with women...Maybe I should stop.

While I'm at it, I should also stop pursuing women. Yes, I screwed up yet again. Whether or not she had someone or just wasn't interested, can't tell. I just knew how to circumvent the "no" I sensed in the next sentence...So much for being the "smooth operator" everyone perceives me to be.

You know what really hurts? She's one of the good ones...someone any man with common sense would want to be with. Yet...never mind. What I was thinking wouldn't make much sense in writing, anyway.

Imagine being able to have any woman except the ones you wanted. That's my love life in a nutshell. That's the power women have over me...dangling the bait in front of me only to have me fall flat on my face when I try to grab it.
