TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ David Cone plans to be at Yankee Stadium for the four-time defending AL champions home opener on April 5. Not in the dugout or mound, but in the bleachers. ``I've never watched a major league game from the bleachers,'' Cone said Thursday. ``The bleacher creatures, they're the best fans.'' Cone has not changed his plans about not considering any offers to pitch his year until the second half of the season. ``I've got some other interests,'' said Cone, who is currently active with a number of fund raising projects. ``I'm content. Cone pitched last season with the Boston Red Sox after spending the previous 5 1-2 seasons with the Yankees. ``Won't take me long to get ready,'' said Cone, on how long it would take him to into game shape.

Vince Coleman was the one who threw the firecracker. Me and a friend ripped up a whole shitload of cards of him after that. It was actually Roger McDowell who spit that fateful loogie, Hernandez was only unfairly prosecuted. And Jack McDowell gave some fans the finger, but Conan O'Brien showed that he was only showing off that he had a picture of Conan...on his middle finger. So, Rob, ask Cone about the time Jack McDowell showed fans a picture of Conan O'Brien. I hear he likes that.

eh, pretty much nothing. i was in the left field bleachers, and he was in the right field bleachers -- pretty distant gap between us. i took some pics, i should post'em, but, as them brits say, i couldnt be arsed right now. arse. tee hee! it was cool tho, between innings they showed a few yankee moments up on the big screen. at one point, they had this whole segment from cone's perfect game a few years back, and the entire crowd around him (several hundred people) all started pointing and chanting at him, cheering him on. very cool. ...until he sprayed bleach on them. that wasn't right. but, like i said, i was in a different bleacher set. so, very cool.
