The books in the 1st column clearly have no appeal to anyone under 30. They're written and published specifically for people like us who grew up in the 70's-80's. So they're basically like getting new episodes of any Nick at Nite show. They are the cream of the crop though in the genre of "traditional" spandex superheroics. While there's a degree of truth to that, I happen to know that Johns' books in particular have a pretty decent under 30 audience. Particularly Flash and Titans, though it's not limited to them. I would say maybe limited appeal, maybe. But hardly "no" appeal.
