First of all, everytime I saw the trailer I thought the movie would be stupid. I think it reminded me of 'Spawn' and 'The Avengers' both of which I really really really don't like. I knew it was based on a comicbook, but I had no idea what it was about. Overall, I was in no mood to see this movie, ecspecially with the killer headache I've had all day.
But I saw it with the girls tonight -- I am eating my own words! I LOVED that movie. The humor, action, and romance were at all the right times. I found all the characters well done -- loved Abe, and I really liked Hellboy more than I thought I would. The Nazi villians were totally creepy (sort of brought a 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' feel to it). The music was good too. I don't think I have any complaints about this movie! Four out of four maces!
