Come July, JLA will split up into another book: Justice League Elite, by Kelly and Mahnke. Chuck Austen is writing an arc on the original.
But who is on what team?
From JLE #1 solicit:
Quote:
Led by Vera Black — sister of the Elite’s controversial original leader, Manchester Black — the Elite features both new and classic heroes, including several current JLA members!
Black hires the no-nonsense government watchdog Al-Sheikh to monitor the Justice League Elite’s every move and keep the team honest. But can this mismatched band of former assassins and disillusioned heroes fight clean when they can’t even get along with one another?
From JLA #101:
Quote:
Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Batman each are forced to face a time when they were unable to save an innocent or prevent disaster. Like the bonds shared by police officers and firefighters, the JLA teammates must help each other process the pain and go on with their lives and their mission.

So... this is going to be hard to crack.
For JLA proper, we have the big six: GL, Flash, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, and J'onn. And on JLE, apparently, we have Flash (?), Green Arrow (double ?), Manitou Raven, Major Disaster, the Black girl, and three people unfamiliar to me.
So.
Flash pulling double duty?
Green Arrow on a team that has "former assassins and disillusioned heroes"? Reading Judd's excellent GA run, I doubt the Ollie in his book would join any team, let alone one as shaky as this.
It just doesn't add up. Why does DC patronize Kelly with all these projects? So sad.
