I actually have to agree with him here in regards to Balent's art. Much of the fuss that was made over her figure was melodramatic and silly.
The writing and characterization, however, was very inconsistent, with constant changeovers from Duffy to Dixon to Moench, and each time somebody came on, they immediately tried to clarify the character's past to fit their take and made a big, murky mess. After a while, it really seemed the only reason to have the book around was to have something for Balent to draw.
