IIf I am not mistaken, I'm fairly sure that everything in the known universe, save light energy, is polarized. So I am assuming that the 'up' and 'down' and 'whatever else Pariah claims they come in' are different charges which add up to the ultimate charges of the protons and neutrons and, further, the atom.
This is really way past my level of knowledge.
