Miyamoto says the game will be able to take advantage of Nintendo's new generation console. by Matt Casamassina March 15, 2006 - In an interview with Nintendo of Europe this week, Nintendo's master designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, seemed to confirm that the company's new Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be able to use the Revolution's controller for added functionality.
Asked how the GameCube adventure was progressing, Miyamoto responded: "I would say that we are progressing well with completing it. And one of the most important features is that, because Revolution can run GameCube software, when you play Twilight Princess on Revolution you can take advantage of the Revolution controller." Miyamoto did not offer further specifics.
Online reports have for months suggested that when Twilight Princess is inserted into a Revolution, gamers will be given the option to play using the freehand-style controller. Miyamoto's latest comments seem to back up these reports.
We'll have more as it breaks.
