OK, I concede that verbal terrorism comment I made was seriously over the top, and I probably shouldn't talk about wishing this, that, or the other person dead. The problem is, however, even though I've withheld comment as much as possible in the last two days, keeping quiet doesn't seem to have done much to diminish the insults being hurled in my direction. In fact, certain people (*cough* rexstardust *cough*) seem to regard my silence as a green light to escalate the verbal attacks a notch, either under their own names or under whatever bizarre alt IDs they decide to create.
Now, I realize the regulars here tend to have an off-kilter sense of humor, and I realize I shouldn't automatically assume I'm being singled out for assault when someone says something negative to me; still, it's hard to see the joke and even harder not to feel at least a little persecuted when you've got people implying you're gay or suggesting that you practice incest. And frankly, that picture of me in glasses that was posted earlier today doesn't help matters. Maybe I overreacted just a bit to the original wallpaper gag, but I don't think I'm wrong to be upset about the gay/incest stuff;I'm just not into that sort of thing, and it frankly ticked me off when anyone even vaguely hints that I might be.

And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.
