They really should do the series on the X-wing novels.

It would be cool if they adapted those.

I would like to see them write a series post NJO, avoiding mainstream characters and politics. Something focussing on say, a jedi and his/her apprentice, traveling the galaxy, helping those in need. Kyp Duron would be a good master to follow. He has a detailed, and tortured background story. They could create his apprentice for the show. A new, original character, made for TV.

But no, we get Boba Fett and his new, fucked up origin. I, too, liked it better when his past was ambiguous. When all we knew was that he served the law, but he was betrayed, or something, and became a bounty hunter. When he was the first to be known for the Mandalorian armor, not the second. Before Episode II, Fett was a bad ass bounty hunter who upheld the law of the reigning, legal government. He was against the New republic because it was an ilegal government, plain and simple. Now, Lucas has turned him into a bad guy, plain and simple. Now, he hates the Republic and the Jedi because they killed his father. No. I'm sorry. Lucas actually weakened the character. Maybe if he would actually read the books people have written in the expanded universe, he would get a fucking clue on how to write a story.
