Neil(who, by the way, has a very sexy first name) pointed it out on Hy Bender's book. And that's basically my point, you can pretty much...heh..."enjoy"...the character without even knowing that he's gay.

Interesting. We do kind of just assume every character is straight unless they're portrayed as overtly not so.

I'm kind of surprised the Corinthian was given any sexuality. I mean....he's the Corinthian.

That's my point. He is a nightmare. Can a nightmare have a sexual preference?

He was a serial killer who preyed exclusively on young males. Direct quote from when Dream confronts him: "Never again to know the sweet taste of a young boy's eye as it pops in my mouth?" Yeah, he's gay.

Here's a direct quote from The Man with the very sexy first name, Neil Gaiman: "....[Sandman]'s Corinthian doesn't have sex; he eats eyeballs. And he's homosexual, in the sense that he prefers to eat the eyeballs of boys."

Shut up, Dad. You're the one who is Not Mister Mxypltk. I, on the other hand, am someone who is Not Not Mxypltk. You do the math, I'm Actually "Mxy".

Move along everybody, this is standard Father and Son thing.

heh....you know, I bet Kyle never has to satisfy himself. Lucky bastard can have any woman he wants (in a roundabout way) and he got it on with both Jade and Donny Troy.

Who wrote the plotline? Was this an effort to turn goofy Kyle into a big manly stud?

It was Marz. The Kyle/Donna relationship was actually developed quite nicely. They meet when Kyle joins the NEW New Teen?/Team Titans (In Tales of the NEW New Teen?/Team Titans Spotlight Quarterly #117 or so). The next week, Donna helps Kyle move into his apartment (he'd just moved to NY), and while they're talking he finds out she was Wonder Girl.
"Wait... You were Wonder Girl?"

"Yes. Why?"

"No... Nothing."

"Come on, tell me."

"It's just that, when I was a kid, I kinda had a crush on Wonder Girl... And it's just that... she looked cute on TV and the papers..."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"And why do you say the Girl WAS cute?"

"B-Because she was... you are..."

"Much better. I like you, Kyle Rayner."

Then they have a couple of dates (one was a walk in Central Park and the other a picnic in Mars), and they kiss in the Christmas issue (when Kyle gets stuck on monitor duty for being the newbie). A while later, after some problems, they broke up and were miserable for some time, until they came back, better than ever. It all seemed very promising... until Marz had to end the relationship abruptly because John Byrne was writing Wonder Woman and he didn't want anyone else using Donna.

The thing with Jade started a while later, when she had lost her powers and was staying with Kyle from some reason (they barely knew each other). During Emerald Knights, when Hal from the past was getting all the attention, Kyle was feeling neglected by superheroes and villains (and possibly readers too). Jade comforted him, and one thing led to another... That's still going on, I think, though it's obvious it's gonna end at some point of the last arc of the current GL series (and possibly Kyle's last arc ever).

Something tells me that crab face mask and the uniform are going to end up in a glass cylinder in the Watchtower, and there will be a naf statue "LEST WE FORGET" of the little creep in LA or somewhere.

Someone's got to teach all those Green Lantern fans a lesson, whether they be fans of Hal, Kyle, John, Alan, Guy, or whoever.

The Powers-That-Be should just do an informal poll to find either the most obscure or LEAST popular or liked member of the Green Lantern Corps (dead or alive, doesn't matter), and make HIM/HER/IT the Green Lantern for the next five to ten years. Would serve all those fanboys right for their bitter partisan politics-like warfare.

8. Adam Warlock - I dunno why, but I kinda liked him when I was a kid even though I wasn't sure what his powers were without the infinity gauntlet (I knew he can fly, and he can shoot karmic blasts from the soul gem...but...what else?)

Well, if you have the Starlin issues from the 70s just read em again and find out. He was well portrayed as a tortured guilt-ridden character in a universe of total madness that served as a metaphor for the Marvel Bullpen.
Damn good comic!
