I found D. R. & Quinch disappointing. The first story is brilliant, though.
There's other trades of Moore's stuff in 2000AD, besides that one and the Ballad of Halo Jones. I have one called Twisted Times (or something), comprised mostly of Future Shock stories with several artists. It includes the first collaborations with Dave Gibbons, where Moore realizes that this guy will draw any little detail he asks for (something he used in full extent in Watchmen).

If you like Moore there's two comics you must read: A Small Killing, and From Hell. A Small Killing is probably the most personal thing he has ever writen, and his personal favorite. From Hell is the only comic (ever) that can be compared to Watchmen.
