Now that I think about it, it's funny that there's a Harlequinn in Vanguard of the future. Remember Hourly Quinn?

Joker2 and Hourly were the only good thing that came out of my failed Armageddon 2001/Total Chaos rippoff arc, because of the use Joker1 later gave to them.

Chewy Walrus said: I was thinking more along the lines of his name, appearance, and acrobatic abilities...
Euro: I just finished The Odyssey and didn't think it was half bad. Like TTT said, the ending was very rushed and I would've liked to see more happen there. Still, I loved your use of Knell and Omicron and your writing of Walker was - as near as I can tell - perfect! Seems you were right... Another criticism, if I may - I was sad to see Buitre, the Cavallis, and Nemo go so easily and 'off-screen' as well. I especially always liked the character of Frank. I seriously hope it's not the end for them... All things considered, though, it was a very enjoyable story. Kudos!
Thanks, Chewy, a lot.
The end was rushed because of timing... I wanted Euro to be ready for the beginning of the current issue and feared thast Gooz plot would lead directly to it, so I ended it wquicker I wanted. Maybe I will return over the last plot to write it better, and making him longer.
I wanted to use all of my characters as the "crew" of Ulysses/Euro, so they HAD to find death. Their out of picture death was to make it seeming more meaningless... and also to allow their return I will ever find a purpose for them.
After all, Walker wanted only to have Euro leaving, to not meddle with his own investigations.

It was not so bad. I still keep it proudly and jealously in its acid free envelope.

He's not dead, just knocked out... have him wake up whenever the hell you want.
I extend this as a warning to everyone: Your character may well get his arse handed to him before this story is out. Deal with it!

I concur. The 'Brian Montag' bit was cute too. Though for some reason it reminded me of the ending of Shrek 2.

Yeah, but he's been poisoned, which essentially means that he has to lay there until someone finally decides Grissom's worth checking up on. I have no problem with my character being beaten. That's not what bothers me. What does bother me was that he was disposed of so quickly right after I'd brought him into the story after a five or six story absence...

I'm enjoying the story a lot so far, I'm just a bit reluctant to post until I can be sure it'll mesh with what's going on and not throw a wrench into things.

Okay, I'm going to send the Strikeforce 3 on their first mission when I bring the Elemental back, so feel free to carry on with the team meeting, or whatever.

My apologies. Sincerely. I guess I just figured it would be unexpected.
Although the idea I mentioned to you on AIM involves Grissom getting right back up and continuing on with the action...

Just to add something, now that I've taken out somebody else... maybe even Danny doesn't know how effective his poisons will be on other metas. Also, from what we've seen so far, he doesn't want to kill them (yet), he's just knocked them out long enough to draw some blood. I don't want to keep anybody out of the game. I have no problem with someone posting that the poison wears off and their character wakes up, and we just assume that a few minutes have passed and Danny's left the room.

I have explained Merlin's motive, introduced the spy and the shadow Strikeforce concepts, and closed the thread.
TTT will post the new story, with a issue number 1, and a goodtitle.

Great post, Euro.
TTT: I realized Graviton doesn't just shrink right after I made that post, but I forgot to edit it. Sorry about that. But it was worth it anyway, cause your post rocked.

I think I see what you were going at, but that wouldn't work. Don't worry. I collaborated with Ceej (thanks, BTW, Ceej!) and she helped me come up with a few more posts to help snap Grissom out of it. He'll be back in action, hopefully, before page 3...

If we make it to page three. I have a feeling this might be a short one.

So, Euro... is Ed getting his powers back or was he able to phaseshift simply because Eddie was able to? Me am confuzzled...

Is the Ghost of Euro returning, now that he lost his wings? No, I don't think so.
The way I read it, it's Eddie who has the phase-shifting power. Eddie is holding onto Euro's hand as they pass through the wall, but Euro could not accomplish that at all himself.

Well, not exactly like Euro and Danny in issue 1. THen, it was simply Euro hiding inseide Danny, which was normally solid.
It's like when Euro had other two Revolutionaries phasing with him when Turner attacked the van on the way to Thunder. I never intended giving him the ability to extend his own power to others in contact with him, but since someone else did, I am glad to keep it around.
So, yes, it's Eddie, who is the clone of Euro, to have the same powers Ed had in the beginning... fully manifested by the horror to see the death of the babysitter.
Obviously, that doesn't mean that Euro will keep always Eddie in contact to "use" his power. His foremost worry is to bring him to safety, now...
