Smallville - Season 4, Episode 20 - “Ageless”
Clark and Lana discover an abandoned baby in the cornfield and take him back to the Kent farm. However, once the baby ages from a newborn to a 7-year-old in a matter of days, the two realize he is aging at a rapid rate and frantically search for a cure before the disease kills him. Meanwhile, Genevieve orders Lionel to kill Lana or else she will send him back to prison.

So we know who died now.
I watched last nights episode and it was depressing how bad its gotten. Its not unwatchable bad, but ABC family shows repeats at 7pm every night and the repeats are so much better. I'll watch the season finale, but I'll probably skip next season unless something big changes.

I thought last night's episode was the best since Transference.
The Freak of the Week was okay and it did a good job with showing high school ending and fears of adult life, as did the farm situation.
The Luthor/Teague storyline was great. It was tense and Michael Rosenbaum/John Glover were in top form.
Bow ties are coool.

Last nights episode I think was as gory as this series has ever gotten. And if anyone had to die, I'm glad it was Captain America jock-boy there. Seriously, I'm a huge fan of the series but ever since that Lana/witch storyline and jock-boy and his momma arrived, i've felt it was veering into jump-the-shark territory. So I'm glad he's dead. Hopefully the mom will follow next week, the stones will be reunited (for one last tour  ) and Lana will finally rid herself of this idiotic plot device.

I loved the Luthor stuff and did NOT see Jason taking the bullet. Wonder how Lana will take it. The FotW business was stupid. Totally stupid. Chloe was in full (hot) form though.

Did you see the preview for next weeks episode? It looks like Clark might make his fortress of solitude. Thats the kinda shit I want to see.

Damn right! Possible spoilers ahead...
I bet Clark comes in between the Luthors and Genevieve, gets the three stones, and gets teleported (by Jor-El) to the Atlantic where he builds the fortress. Super-breath should follow, that'd be sweet. What would really be cool is if Genevieve fights the possessed Lana in the greatest bitch fight the show has ever seen. Lionel reveals who's side he's on, and Lex finishes his transfer to the dark side...with words between him and Clark. I haven't read much about the episode, those are my theories. Interpret as you will.

tonight's finale was good! not as good as i wanted it to be -- i feel it left a lot more "unwravelled" than last season's excellent finale.
all the same, i really enjoyed it.
though, that musta been the saddest high school graduation ever, what with 78 students having died over the past 4 years, and all.

LOVED the finale of Smallville, but now we have to wait till OCTOBER to find out :
Who or what is in the alien ship Lana found? Mon El? Dev em? Supergirl?
Will Lex finally turn to the dark side?
What will Clark's fortress of Solitude look like? How will he react to it? Will he invite his friends there for a wild post graduation party?
Ma and Pa Kent... I missed a few minutes when they were fighting off the crazy guy with the rifle....are they ok?
Only time will tell! To be continued in October.

Just saw the finale. I'd have to say the space ship at the end surprised me. Can't wait for next season now.

I still stand behind most of that. However upon further reflection and given the fact that that final Clark scene recalled the Superman Movie, howzabout if that "ship" was actually the Phantom Zone itself (or at least the projector).

That high school is so unrealistic especially in a town like that. I doubt they have a school paper that sophisticated. The Talon? I'll stop while I'm ahead.
Aside from those things that finally hit me as being not only unrealistic in general, but just not seem to fit in with the general Supermna back story, I do have a question. What the heck happened in the last half hour? I tuned into Alias and didn't tape it, long story which will end with me buying a new VCR before the fall season starts.
I saw the bit in the cave where Chloe very wussingly knocked Lex down/out and he woke up and started to go toward the entrance of the light, then went back to Alias and didn't get a chance to go back and see what happened.
It's a rented tux ok? I'm not going comando in another man's fatigues.
