Since the Strikeforce is superheroey, and Vanguard is closer to adventure stories, I think in V.E. we should try stuff closer to sci-fi. I don't mean space adventures and such, but stuff like the ones you mention: ghosts, UFO's, time travel, magic... We could get closer to Paranormal Investigators than to a Superhero/Adventurers Team. I don't know if I'm right, but I think that's what you tried to hint at with the description of the first mission.
