During a Google search I found out Norm Breyfogle did the art for two issues of this series Issues 3 and 4. So I decided one of my favorite artists on book based on one of the 80s and perhaps television's biggest icons was worth a checking out.
Writer: Mike Baron
Artist: Norm Breyfogle
Most everybody is familiar with Mr.T star of such work as Rocky III, and the A-Team. Most always portrayed as the big grumpy dude with a heart of gold.
Our story in issue 3 starts out with cell phone with no headset dude getting his car jacked by some petty thugs.
They rough up lawyer dude pretty bad.
Turn out these thugs work for somebody who disturbingly bears a resemblance to the Kingpin.
Displeased the petty thugs drew so much heat with the way they beat their victim "Kingpin" tosses them off something high.
Enter our hero the man, the myth, the gold wearing legend Mr.T.
T shows up to break up a fight among the local teens and to hopefully turn their rage into something more positive. Boxing.
Mr.T brings the boy to a gym to be trained where Mr.T meets someone looking for his action hero brand of help.
The woman tells Mr.T her husband (one of the thugs who stole the car and beat the lawyer.) has been acting mysterious and may be in trouble. Mr.T says he will help.
Mr.T gives the woman a gold watch with a concealed two way radio so she can keep in touch, then uses his own to call in a marker from somebody who T formerly helped.
Mr.T's informant tells him that cars have been disappearing from hospital parking lots. Leading to a confrontation between Mr.T and a gang of hooligans.
Mr.T uses his powers of muscles, positive thinking, and force of will to bend one of the thug's gun. Then lays the smack down on the creeps in true Mr.T fashion.
After finished Mr.T goes Batman on one of the hoods and the hood spills his beans. And rats out his buddies. Then tells Mr.T how he may come to find them.
Mr.T hides in the trunk of a sweet Rolls knowing the thugs will steal it and take it to "Kingpin's chop shop and victory over evil car thieves.
Mr.T once reaching the chop shop bursts from the trunk of the Rolls Royce to lay down even more newer and improved smack down.
Finally Mr.T reaches his goal to face the "Kingpin" and take him down.
"Kingpin" tells T that his employer has informed him of Mr.T and has taken precautions.....
Overall the writing on this book isn't great but it doesn't suck ass either.
Once again Norm's art made me really glad I bought this book.
See you soon with: Mr.T and the T Force issue 4!!!!
