Yaaayyy! This is my first topic topic on this board. All hail.

And there was much rejoicing.

Anywho, my question be this: Why is this forum called "Sports - Athletics - Wrestling," or too be clearer, why is wrestling separate from sports and athletics. Ok, if you're talking about professional wrestling, e.g. WWE, then I suppose the argument can be made that it's not a sport since it's scripted , but I'll be hornswaggled if anyone says that those guys and gals are athletic.

the "wrestling" part of the title refers, almost always, to the professional world of sports entertainment (i.e; wwf, wwe, wcw, ecw, etc)

i used t'have two separate forums -- one for wrasslin, one for sports. but, in an effort to clean up the place, i merged the two boards.

tho the two are similar enough to merge under the main category of "athletics," i keep the titles independant of one another, cuz they have completely separate fan bases

some people might come to browse these boards looking for discussions on triple h, and some people might come looking for discussions on pete rose.

and the broader title helps inform newer users that this forum is friendly to both types of discussions.
