And then in a while someone else will write something about getting this damn thread back on topic, and then nobody will post for a while, and then someone will bring it back up to the top of the forum for a lark, even though everyone's talking about some other crappy book by then, and then some time from now Rob's board will crash (in the cataclysmic event that will come to be known as the "Great Crash" -- not to be confused with the "Great Crash II"), and most of the old topics, such as this one, will be lost forever. Ironically enough, though, because of my warning in this post, this thread will be one of the few that several posters decided to save before the "Great Crash"... It will also be one of the rare Internet threads to be preserved forever (after the final destruction of the Internet in 2012) due to Mxy having printed it all out on his computer to read on the bus on the way to school.
By the 23rd century a cult religion (called the Identitea Crisisians of the Holy Three) will have been built around this thread and a few others, and the unidentified individual known only as "The Time Trust" will be considered to be the Prophet who foretold the coming age, "Prometheus" will be enshrined as the Father, "LLance" will be enshrined as the Mother, and "Disco Steve" will be enshrined as the Son, with the individual known as "Dave" from the down under nether-regions of Australia serving the role of the Davil.
By the year 2970, Crisisanity will be the dominant world religion, although Mxyism will quickly catch on over much of the world, followed by the depraved "end times" enforced state religion known as the JQocracy, responsible in those dire times for a string of completely meaningless and pointless terrorist attacks involving explosive hush puppies and bellybutton lint.
Luckily the planet explodes shortly afterwards, the human race being survived only by a handful of esoteric shoe salespeople with a healthy fear of open flame.
