Sammitch, sorry if I misinterpreted Phil.

I used him because you wrote that Ed called him on the phone,m so I came up with something to show what he wanted.

But aside the objectiver reason for the post, what I wanted to show was that even if Phil has actually evolved, Euro continue to see him as the first time he has met him.

I foresee Phil taking soon a more leadership role, and I want to set up possible clashes with Euro (you know, it's more interesting when personalities collide, than when everyone is buddy).

You find misinterpretation in what Phil does or in what Euro says about Phil?

If it is about him not jumping at the suggested use of his powers, I did that because he has to work with Rose, and they are not (since the Antarctic War) on best of terms.

If it is for his not-tempered reactions, it's my way to show he is a lot younger than the other two (well, younger than Euro, as Turner is really just four year old )

Also, I think a telepath, when is near not one, but two people that are unreadable, should make him uncomfortable, hence be less cool than usual. I mean, if I would get near a people that makes me blind or deaf, I would be scared off, not just uncomfortable.

Let me know. I really liike the Phil character, I wanna use him a lot more in the future, and obviously I want to get it right.

On another note, I have now read your last post, and I found it very enjoiable, perfectly characterized and I loved a lot seeing Phil using his other powers. If I should find a weak point, is that Mullarney, when Phil points up that Vanguard has never done anything bad for real, should have brought up the fact that Grimm killed cold-bloodly his brother.
That's an important part of the characterization of the current Strikeforce, because they are "good guys" thinking of doing the good deeds, as opposed to the more mercenary members of the previous incarnations of that team.
And I am writing this not just for you, but for explain to all the writers here what could have not been known if they have not read the Strikeforce thread.

In any case, this is a great post. Now I am waiting for a set up for the story of the same level of quality, Sammitch.

Just wanting to have a bit of fun. No preplanned anything. I know who this Jesus Christ is........does anyone else? It's not that hard to figure out.

Either way, don't be afraid to have fun. Because, that's all I want to do. I won't screw with anyone's character out-of-bounds, as long as everyone continues to post and have fun.

Sound good?

it's good. Who is the character? If he has memories of Gooz and Viper, I'd say one name (and that would be extra-cool), the fact that he was walking on water let me think he is just an ex-Vanguardian that has stopped to shave his head.

In any case, having fun is the only thing we want with this story, being there no plot at all.

Also, Pro, if you want to have fun, and write in a completely unplanned environment, try the Toughened Glass thread. We are at a stalemate there, as we have all the character gathered. One of your professional posts could be exactly what we need.

Another thing, about Jesus: have you talked recently with TTT, or ARE YOU TTT?

Wow. I just read your posts, Pro. At first I didn't know what was going on, and then I went back and read what I'd written earlier (I'd forgotten about it), and it began to make sense. That was a really nice touch. So if your posts are true, does that mean there are novels about TOMB, the X and Malvana out there somewhere in the Vanguard Universe?

Hmm... I wonder if "Jesus Christ"'s real name is Gardner F. Fox? (A little Silver Age Flash of Two Worlds humor, there...)

Heh. Thanks guys.

Listen, honestly, I don't know who you think "Jesus" is, but, it isn't Prometheus....if that's what you are getting at. I love Prometheus, but, I think I've written everything I have to say with him. H&L, as far as I'm concerned right now, will be his final appearance.

Euro, you've probably got a good idea of who this character is. I'm not really trying to hide it that much. When I have a chance this weekend, I'll continue that little subplot.

As for the "memories" of Viper, and all that, it really wasn't intended to be taken literally. If you see that I titled that last little post "Farewell to Gooz", it was simply my tip-of-the-hat to my former "other self". I'll miss old Gooz, and that was my good-bye for him (the writer).

Mhhh... now I am puzzled. I guess we'll have to wait to see how it unfold. But I really dig TTT's interpretation.

So, are we going to explore the island?

I took the suggestion, altough the lead has been taken by Phil Smith, which was the only enthusiat about Dawson Island.

I hope this doesn't scramble Pro's plans. I think that if who "Jesus Christ" wants to meet is one of the Vanguardians, he knows where they are and he has the means to reach them; if he wants to meet soemone else, having the Vanguardians away for now shouldn't be a problem.

Me and TTT has an idea for what is it in the island; I want to see first Pro's intentions, and if it is compatible, I will reveal it in the next post (well, BEGIN to reveal )

Well, I suppose that derails what I had in mind.

It can't be "just an island" with TTT, can it? Is there a tesseract there, by any chance?

No, the island is just an island. What there is now it's not a permanent feature of the place, and by the end of the issue the island will be totally yours, and you will shape it like you prefer.

But it will be a weird story, this one.

Maybe.

I actually don't mind. I think it'll be nice to have a plot-driving conflict in this story at last. I just wanted an excuse to poke fun at you and make peculiar faces behind your back. So there.

Listen, as I intended, nothing you do in this story will have any negative effects on anything I want to do with this stranger that I have wandering around.

Understand clearly: I have absolutely NO pre-plans, ideas, or angles of where, what, when, how, and why in relation to my sudden entrance into the La Perdita stories. I have merely set up a ball to roll in any direction I feel can be fun or useful for myself, and everyone else.

So, go ahead and do whatever you need or want in this story, and I'll work anything I want to do around it.

Don't wait on me. With my current real-life schedule, I seem to only be able to write on the weekends, anyway. So, have at it, and have fun.

But, most of all, let's ALL work together with this story. I really don't want to see any single person lead this story. This is a team for a reason. Let's all concentrate of team-writing.

Pro, very good.

About the leading, I was talking character-wise, in the sense that is Phil leading them to the island, while the others had other plans (cooking, having sex, cleaning bird shit).

The story idea we (me and TT) have, is very basic and should make a very easy interaction for everyone. By the way, Pro, you should like it, because it's something you proposed a long time ago...

I posted again. As you can see, it's the "Vanguard in space" me and Pro talked about months ago. In my mind, it's the beginning of a series of mini "Lost" tales, concentrate into this one issue.

How they did get there will be explained by the end of the issue.

As you can see, they now are in space (and in the future, as in the present there is nothing in space like the thing I described).

I have no absolute idea of what they will be doing there, so everyone can follow my post absolutely freely. By the way, the cavern would allow anyone to jump exaclty where the others are, so, Pro, (or Danny) if you want to have your guy (or squirrel) joining (or stumble upon) the others, do it like in the old times, when we were not so sophisticated to how have a character joining the others. He enters the cave, and end wherever the others are.

Have fun.
