FANTASTiC posts, Grimm, I likey a lot.

I am curious to know if the surviving Vanguardians are your all time Vanguard line up or have they been specifically chosen to battle 12.

In any case, I want to express great admiration for those battle posts. Co-ordinating the dozens of characters involved in such a smooth and cool way is an extraordinary tasks. I had nightmares, for my solo, with just eight MBLeaguer and eight Vanguardians, while you perfectly managed to use ALL the known (and some unknown) Vanguardians.

Great, GREAT work.

Thanks. Was that working hard enough?

All time? It's hard to say. I imagine it would probably be pretty close to this. There would probably be some small changes to an "all time" lineup. I'd likely throw in Drake Marshall, for instance. I do have a special fondness for a lot of the group as it was during my first few stories. A lot of the characters left, I think they work really well together, and it's interesting to see some of them that weren't around at the same time. Sam and Banshee, or Turkish and Blackwulf. But yeah, it's pretty close to that.

The only thing I was actually consciously thinking about for deciding who would be left standing is the character relationships. Certain things I wanted to touch on a bit, that I felt never got really settled (Sam/Danny or Dirk/Chance) or even explored at all (like Blackwulf's protectiveness of Sam and Danny, all of them being morphs. A plot that never got used.)

A lot of the classic friendships: Sam/Danny. Grimm/Wulf. Grimm/Turkish. Euro/Chance. Griss/Phil. Dirk/Mick (Who knew? just kidding. We all know Dirk hates everyone.) Basically thinking if these guys were facing what might be the end, who would they want standing there with them in their last moments?

So yeah. . .a lot more to that answer than I expected.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now let me reassemble my brain.

About the main story, I wonder if people wants the story advanced to the next fight, to start to post again.

I know you are all very busy, but when I started the fight with the robots, everyone posted. So, I am asking if you are simply waiting for having time to post, or you are waiting for the next fight scene.

I am very busy, yes... but I have no idea where to take the story from here. I'm not really sure what happened in the last post, ergo I have no idea where to go next. So... yeah. Next fight might help...

I'm having trouble feeling for the main story, that's all. I read what everyone else has posted and I think 'This is great stuff!'. But when I sit down to post I draw a blank. My mojo's just slipping a bit. It'll come back eventually.

I have ideas. But, I have no idea where you and TTT are planning to take this. So, I cannot simply implement them without some form of all-clear from the Trust (read your IM, dammit!).......

Pro, if you have ideas, WRITE it. There is no absolutely need to exchange idea. Let's do like in the old time: one write, and the other follows.

Me and TTT ideas are just about the REASON for which froma cave in a small island next to la Perdita they ended up in the moon of an unidentified future. Unless THAT is an aspect of the story you want to work with, anything you come up regarding the story in the future CANNOT "ruin" what me and TTT have in mind.

You see, we have not a story to tell, we have just a cool gimmick for future use.

In any case, if you want to know more, PM me, I am more regular on the board than TTT, these days, I think.

For Phil, you know I have no patience. No, really, I just wanted to know what I asked: if no one was posting just for lack of time or because it was waiting for a fight scene, just like the time before.

Now I have all the patience needed to wait for Pro's posts. (Or yours)

Unfortunately, folks, I'm not going to have any more time to write over the next couple of weeks than I've had up until now, due to term papers and exams coming up quickly.

Pro, as I said in my email, go with your idea. If I can find the time to post something other than the one-liners I've been spamming the off-topics forum with, I will. Should be fun.

Nice work, everyone.

Although the first doctor thought it was tonsilitis, a blood test confirmed that I have mono. The major ass-kicking symptoms are dying down, but I'm gonna be swamped this week with all the stuff that I missed being really sick. So I may not be able to contribute what I had planned just yet.

Aw Phil, my roommate last year had mono over Christmas break. It sucked royally! She was out the next semester. Well, actually, I think that last part was also because she gained a little and her boyfriend cheated on her...you'll probably recover better...

Okay, I have completely altered the path of the story.

This may, at first glance be a selfish move. But, I have the weight of majority on my side.

I don't wish to insult you, Euro, but, no one but you and TTT were having any fun with this future-plot. And, since TTT has all but abandoned the story, I felt it was time to turn this back into a viable plot.

Chewy, CJ, and BF all agree. We needed a change. This is a group story. Let's evolve a plot that involves everyone's ideas.

Pro: I have yet not read the new posts, but I have no problem with anything you could have posted. I firmly believe a group story is done by whoever posts, and ANY plot could be rightfully disrupted, discharged, reworked, replotted by ANY poster.

Me and TT have an idea for the ending of ther story, what there is in the middle was just a way to get to that point.

[after some time]

Now I have read the posts by you and BF, and posted accordingly. I hope that using a new Strikeforce 4, instead of the SF 3, don't upset any of you.

Euro, I applaud your acceptance and open-mindness concerning this new path for the story! This is exactly the reaction I was hoping for from you.

As for using a Strikeforce-4, you absolutely read my mind. I was just telling Grimm the other day that I would love to have Vanguard go against Strikeforce again, but, I didn't want to have to involve your solos.

Then, there's the overwhelming odds of using the other past characters like Velo, Naecken, and Tobias. You realize that, given pure logic concerning the current group's actual abilities, there is no way in hell that they could win against an ensemble like that.

I mean, the Strikeforce you have assembled is one thing. Teaming them with these other ex-Vanguardians? It is simply an insurmountable adversary, given the seven Vanguardians.

But, I'll give it a shot. I just hope everyone is ready to have their character's killed....

I got one of the Scorpions! (Red Scorpion, according to Chewy.) Let me finish my fight this time, please. Nobody ending all the fights so one character can look good, like in 16.
