I will say up front that I have a great deal of respect for the character of Phil. He has great potential as a field leader/co-ordinator figure for the team. His development lately (particularly in the last couple of months) has been cool. I also genuinely like sammitch, the person who is not the character.

I was just having some fun. It was not my intention to maliciously mock Phil the writer or render useless Phil the character. I was making fun of a certain style of post. The post where one character shines above all the rest and saves the day while the rest of the team stands around. As Chewy points out, it's a sin you've been guilty of in the past, Phil. But it's not a sin that's restricted to you; several of the writers here (myself included) have been guilty of it in the past.

You know why I wrote it? I thought it'd be funny. That's all. Yes, I know your character has a defined set of abilities, a personality, a certain continuity. I respect that. I am also happy to throw all that out the window in the name of fun. That doesn't just apply to your character, it applies to every single character in the stories. Including mine. No, scratch that; especially mine. And if anyone here is going to hold that against me, boot me off the team now.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go kill off Robo Squirrel.
