Oh, ok, that's my error. I wasn't very clear about that.

'Bishop of Rome' (I should have capitalized 'Bishop' the first time) is the ecclesiastic (sp?) title held by the Pope, and was the actual title held by Peter. The term 'Pope' didn't come until later and was backwardly applied to Peter and his immediate successors.
