Okay, am I the only one whose suspension-of-disbelief is completely shattered when wrestlers bring out the ol' sledgehammer?
I watch wrestling like I'm sure the majority of its sane fans do and can accept about 99% of the stuff they do as at least in the realm of possiblity (dependent on the individual wrestler's ability to "sell" the moves, of course).
When they bring out the sledgehammers though, I go "What the fuck?!" Now, I've never been in the situation, but I'm fairly certain that if a person wasn't killed outright from a blow to the head from a sledgehammer then they would at least suffer some sort of mild-to-severe brain damage. Especially with the force they try to "sell" it with.
Thoughts?
