Perhaps because sledgehammers generally aren't associated with sporting events? I see your point, but at the same time you have to draw a line. Why don't we have guys just bringing chainsaws and machine guns to matches? Because it's so far removed from wrestling it's detracting from the reasons you enjoy watching.
