On one hand, Kobe has never demonstrated any misconduct during his NBA career. On the other hand, that don't mean JACK. Players who have professed to be devoutly religous, family men have been caught with their hands in the basket lots of times. Eugene Robinson of the Falcons. Steve Garvey of the Dodgers. Michael Jordan. Hey, even Bill Cosby has admitted to an affair. But this is admittedly highly out of character for Kobe.
What I'm thinking happened is that Kobe had a one night stand with this 19 year old woman at this Colorado hotel, but she doesn't want it to be some fly by night thing. Kobe said "Hey baby, welcome to the NBA!" So she goes to the cops. Most likely they'll settle out of court.
