And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. I live about an hour-and-a-half from New Orleans, and offer these few words:
-- If you're going to party, you'll have fun.
-- The cops take public urination very serious.
-- Watch yourself in the French Quarter at night. Being from NYC, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine, as I would imagine you know how to take care of yourself.
-- Yes, bring an umbrella. There's no real pattern of weather, as such. But, with this type of humid climate, you never know.
-- The humidity is thick. Be prepared to dress accordingly.
-- Watch who and how you get you drinks. Rufie-spikes have been known to happen.
Other than that, and, as I don't know what you are going for, that's all I have.
Are you bringing Rob with you?

Check out Preservation Hall. They have a live jazz band that is second to none. I believe they perform every night.

ok thanks for the hints, most of whick tk told me to beware of. so im adding an umbrella to the things i have to pack. no this is mostly a girls from college trip, tho i wish he were going with us. my sister and i have spoken and we've decided that if given the opportunity we will seriously consider flashing but only for quality beads   i packed alot of tank tops and capris, and skirts so i think ill be ok in the clothing department . the trip is friday to mon andi packed like 7 outfits.

the group wants to make reservations to eat at emerils restaurant. is it worth it.? im a picky eater  but i went to his site and found some options at the new orleans restaurant that i could eat.
