I definitely think that Calculator is involved. Personally, I love the whole "Oracle for the villains" concept. Meltzer has played that beautifully!
Unless it's another red herring (like Dr. Light and Slipknot), Issue #3 gives us reason to believe that Captain Boomerang killed Sue Dibny. Let me rehash the dialogue from panel 4 of page 32.

Coincidence? Maybe. But I still think that these guys know something about what's going on. Otherwise, why feature them so prominently?
