I can't believe that Bats would approve the mindwipe given all the people over the years that he's let know his secret ID, including, Ras Al Ghul, Talia, Talia's sister, Ubu, everyone in the League of Assassins, Bane, Catwoman, Riddler, Hush, possibly the Joker, etc., etc.
If Batman was in favor of mind-wiping, Zatanna would have a permanent office at Arkham Asylum.
In fact, I suspect that the denounment of this story will be that a lot of people, including, possibly, some of the above people and Lois, are going to be mind-wiped permanently.
There seems to be a undercurrent to this story of "superheroes NEED secret IDs"
