... but a possible clue has been circulating lately on the net. It's the digits 423 (that's the address of the location where Benny and Trey are meeting with Bolt in IC #1, and 423 is the area code to reach Ray Palmer shown in IC #4).

As for it being an inside tip (to a published issue of anything) well, Superman #423 was the final issue before the Byrne reboot, Action #423's cover shows a mysterious person thinking "I won...I turned Superman into a murderer!", Detective #423's cover (both pre-Crisis, satelite era) asks "Why has The Batman--who has sworn never to use a gun--turned into an assassin?".

Here's the covers ....

Possible Ramifications..?

Because heroes ethics are being called into question and "mind wiping" is a major part of this story, (as well as the fact Dr. Light remembers Batman being there when the vote went down and the others that were there didn't) each one of the satelite era members may have a dark secret or two in their past that's been "wiped" from memory by the rest of the satelite crew. And that, after all these years, one member may even remember his forced mind wipe/rape, and could be behind IC looking for vengence.

I don't think so, but Dan Didio said IC would shake up the DCU for years after, and Brad Meltzer's "each character will be considerably taken down a peg (especially Batman) while one character will rise above (presumably EM) and the DCU will become a darker place - The key to this all is the era in which it starts" comment.

Which happens to be after Iris Allen was presumably murdered and just before Barry Allen went to trial for apparently killing Zoom I (just before Crisis)

Also, 423 represents the JLA vote to lobotomize Light. It was "4 to 3".

Thoughts?
