I may be generalizing, but I know "Christian" Middle Eastern me who are like this, family members actually. Case in point, just last Monday I was watching tv and my mom asked me to empty the dishwasher, I had just sat down with a taffy apple and said I'd do it later. She didn't say anytihng, knowing it'd get done and sat down for a minute, then went out for a walk. My dad came down stairs later and looked in the dishwasher, I don't know why, he never loads, unloads, or starts it, claims he doesn't know how BULL!, and yells at me in a very threatening tone for not doing it. Since I refuse to take that crap, I don't care who it is, I yelled back in a tone that reminded him, yet again, that I don't take that crap.
Years ago, when his brother and (brother's) wife were living here, back in the early 80s was it?, his very own brother used to beat his wife. He bashed her head against the toilet one day and broke her teeth.
Just 2 examples of so called Christian Middle Eastern men.
I've got a good 31 years and counting worth of stories of mental abuse from my own dad towards myself, sister and mom.
Don't sit there and act all high and mighty because I may be generalizing a culter I know first hand. If anyoen has the right to generalize, it's me and any other woman like me.
